Queensland Government Great Start Construction Grant, available to an Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident over the age of 18, who has never purchased a home in Australia before.

The 2012-13 Queensland State Budget introduced the first home owner construction grant (FHOCG), which will be administered under the First Home Owner Grant Act 2000. The grant is available only to first home owners who build a new home and who reside in Queensland.

This grant of $15,000 is available for contracts to build a new home dated on or after 12 September 2012
